Sexual Health


Lambda is an organization founded in 2006 in Mozambique, advocating for the recognition of human rights of LGBT people (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender). Born in 2006 fruit of a deep reflection on the situation of LGBT in Mozambican society. The organization wants to contribute to the reduction of prejudice and discrimination against the LGBT community in Mozambican society, promote self-esteem, sexual health and economic rights of sexual minorities.

Ethnic Health Foundation

Ethnic Health Foundation was founded in 2002 to engage the Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) communities in training, health improvement and disease prevention. The formation was occasioned by issues around general health of BME communities, particularly African and African-Caribbean population. The charity aims to promote any purposes for the benefit of the public, in particular, but not exclusively, for the benefit of people of African and Caribbean descent, including refugees and asylum seekers, without prejudice.

Africa Advocacy Foundation

African Advocacy Foundation (AAF), established in 1996, promotes better health, education and other life opportunities for disadvantaged people through practical support, advocacy, information, advice, guidance and training. Their activities include information, advice, guidance and support services on a range of areas including sexual and mental health and training services. AAF's mission is to provide practical, social, educational and community support to those that are living in poverty and illness particularly within the minority ethnic communities in Greater London.

The Global Forum on MSM & HIV

The Global Forum on MSM & HIV (MSMGF) is an expanding network of advocates and other experts in health, human rights, research, and policy, working to ensure an effective response to HIV among gay men and other men who have sex with men. MSMGF advocates for equitable access to effective HIV prevention, care, treatment, and support services for gay men and other MSM, including those living with HIV, while promoting their health and human rights worldwide.


UHAI EASHRI (The East African Sexual Health and Rights Initiative) is an indigenous activist fund which provides flexible and accessible resources to support civil society activism around issues of sexuality, health and human rights in the East African region with a particular focus on the rights of sexual minorities. UHAI provides grants and capacity support to sex worker and lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) organisations in the five East African countries: Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda.


Ishtar is a community based organization, formed in 1997 in Kenya, that advances sexual health rights of men that have sex with men (MSM) to reduce the stigma and discrimination aliened with them by creating awareness with the aim of advocating for their rights to access health care, including STI/HIV and AIDS related care and treatment. Ishtar is a member group of the Gay and Lesbian Coalition of Kenya (GALCK).

Derbyshire Positive Support

Derbyshire Positive Support is a charity set up in 1991 to provide support and care to individuals living with and affected by HIV. The organisation's activities include education around HIV and other sexually transmitted infections, rapid HIV tests, legal advice, peer support, and more.

Leicestershire AIDS Support Services

Leicestershire AIDS Support Services (LASS) is an independent voluntary organisation that was set up in 1987 to provide a range of services for people in the City of Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland, affected by HIV/AIDS. The organisation works to prevent the spread of HIV and to promote positive sexual health through education, training, and community initiatives.

Gays and Lesbians of Zimbabwe

The Gays and Lesbians of Zimbabwe (GALZ) is a voluntary association founded in 1990. Its purposes are serving the needs and interests of LGBTI people in Zimbabwe, pushing for social tolerance of sexual minorities and the repeal of homophobic legislation. GALZ was one of the first organisations in Zimbabwe to start HIV/AIDS awareness campaigns and, today, it remains unique in that it is the only organisation in the country specifically working with people who engage in same-sex sexual activity.

Centre for the Development of People

Centre for the Development of People (CEDEP) is a registered human rights organisation dedicated to addressing the needs, improving the lives, and providing support for some of Malawi's most neglected minority groups through civic education, training, capacity building, networking and research. The organisation's members believe that improving the welfare of minority groups, including prisoners, sex workers, and those in same-sex relationships, is crucial to the health and well-being of all peoples.
